Dennis Wagner's 1967 GTA Fastback
This well restored 67 GTA belongs to Dennis & Patty Wagner. After a lengthy search and much discussion about whether to buy something to restore, or buy one already done...restored won out.
This Mustang was the 32,912th Ford vehicle built at the San Jose factory and came off the assembly line on November 15th, 1966. Originally purchased from Sound Ford in Renton with a base price of $2,592.17 and a sticker price of $4,328.51.
This well optioned red on red 2+2 fastback was equipped with deluxe interior, upper and lower consoles, tilt away power steering, air conditioning, styled steel wheels and power brakes with a C6 behind a 390. One of 6 built in 1967.
The restoration, started in 1986 by Herb Sellie of Mukilteo, was pretty much completed by Kurt Thornell of Spokane in 1994.
Someone tried to steal her away to Ohio but Dennis & Patty just couldn't let this excellent example of a lifetime Northwest Mustang leave Washington.
A car that could easily be concours, Dennis & Patty are perfectly happy showing and driving with a few modifications like a 6 disk CD stereo, high back buckets and new suspension to restore the ride and handling.
This 36 year old is looking forward to another year of cruising the back roads of the Northwest with the other fine pony's in the area.
